Judy Moore founded Legacy Christian School in 1999 with nineteen families. Since that ground-breaking year, Legacy has grown into an established community of families committed to home education.

In July of 2003, Legacy filed incorporation documents to become Legacy Christian School, Inc. and formed a Board of Directors to assist in providing guidance and accountability to the school.

In June of 2005, four Legacy moms formed a committee and began “Connections”. This one day a week co-op offers classes to home educated children in grades K-12, but has many classes for the more challenging junior and senior high grades. Qualified parent-teachers provide instruction in core subject areas, and in fun classes like baking or drama, to aid and supplement the home schooled student’s educational experience.

In addition, the co-op fulfils the desire of many students and parents to have more social interaction.
